ML ResearchRemoteInternship

Applied ML Research Intern

Run experiments at the frontier of emotional AI — and see your work shipped to real users.

About the Role

This is not a coffee-and-slides internship. You will run real experiments, write real code, and contribute to research directions that directly influence what ships in Eunoie's next model update. You will work closely with the deep learning and gen AI teams on open research questions in emotional intelligence.

What you'll do

  • Survey and synthesise literature in affective computing, emotion recognition, and empathetic dialogue
  • Design and run controlled experiments to evaluate emotional understanding in LLMs
  • Build small-scale datasets and annotation pipelines for emotional signal labelling
  • Prototype novel model architectures or prompting strategies for emotional reasoning
  • Write clear internal research notes and present findings to the full team weekly
  • Contribute to at least one production model improvement during the internship

What we're looking for

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in CS, AI, Cognitive Science, or related field
  • Solid Python and at least basic PyTorch or TensorFlow experience
  • Ability to read and understand ML papers and reproduce key results
  • Curious about the intersection of psychology, language, and machine learning
  • A GitHub, a Kaggle profile, or any public evidence that you build things for fun
  • Strong written communication — you will be writing research notes, not just code

Why Eunoie?

Most internships end with a demo nobody uses. At Eunoie, your experiments will directly shape what the model does in production. You will leave with real shipped work and a deep understanding of emotional AI systems.
